Story behind the painting: When I came up with the idea of this painting I wanted to show the beauty in silence. I have always found I am at piece in the middle of a forest where there is no external noise other than nature. While growing up I use to go out to the train tracks sometimes at night and I had to walk through trails to get there. Yea I can just hear it now, “walk to the train tracks at night by yourself” LOL. I was a latch key kid and really did not have a lot of supervision, it was a different time and believe it or not it was relatively safe during the 80’s. This painting is fond memory of me simply appreciating the woods I was in growing up.
