Welcome to Color Well Studio. My name is Joe Prelli, and I am the contemporary artist behind the studio. For a time, life pulled me in a different direction, but in that time, I found the space to explore my mind again and reconnect with parts of myself I had set aside for so long. Little by little, I felt drawn back to creativity in a way that felt both familiar and necessary. I began painting, turning my thoughts and emotions into something tangible on canvas. What started as a creative outlet soon became the foundation of everything Color Well Studio is today.

Describing my style has never been easy, because it doesn’t live in just one place. It’s shaped by different influences, different techniques, and different parts of who I am. I’ve always been someone who lives a few steps ahead mentally, always thinking about what’s next, planning for what could happen, and preparing before I ever arrive. That way of thinking can be useful, but it also means I don’t always allow myself to fully be in the present moment. My mind is often focused on the future before the present has had a chance to settle in.

Painting became the one place where things shifted for me. When I paint, I want to create a painting that allows you to connect to the room, setting a vibe allowing the observers to stop and be present in the moment and feel what the space is conveying. I have always been amazed at what people put in their homes to make their home have a specific vibe.

My hope for Color Well Studio is to create works that offer others the same sense of connection that painting has given me. In a world that so often feels loud, fast, and overwhelming, I want each piece to invite people into a room’s vibe, one where they can pause long enough to feel grounded, present, and aware of the beauty in where they are. If my work can create a vibe for a space that allows you to connect with it, then it has done exactly what I hoped it would do.
