RELEASE

Release is an Acrylic painting 60 inch X 60 inch on a cotton canvas. There comes a moment when containment of your emotion is no longer possible; when the weight of held breath, quiet frustration and stress gives way. Release is that moment of emotional release. The composition centers on a dense, fractured core of a icelike structures representing the internal pressures we build up over time.

Dark blue fractures burst dramatically outward, cutting through complex patterns of deep shadows. The contrast between rich backdrop creates a sense of kinetic movement. It is both violent and cathartic showing the exact instant you can no longer hold the emotion in.
