Emerald Veil is an Acrylic painting 60 inch X 60 inch on a cotton canvas. What we have here is a capture of motion in stillness. In a room with neutral tones, this canvas acts as a window into a different dimension. It’s sophisticated enough for a boardroom but possesses a rhythmic soul that belongs in a private sanctuary.

Story behind the painting: There was a summer I spent with my grandfather in northern California. He took me to some of the most beautiful fishing spots I have ever been in. I was too young to really appreciate it at the time, but now I am so grateful that he drug me out to these places as it truly was a once in a life time experience.

I painted this as a remembrance of that time; I am pretty sure we were trespassing LOL. We parked on the side of the road and hiked to this river that I can’t really remember the name of. I was only 12 that the time. Any way we spent the day fishing trout and now that I’m grown, I really appreciate how great of a grandfather he was. Thanks grandpa this one is for you. The color palette is restricted almost entirely to deep obsidian, slate greys, and that piercing, acidic green. It creates a vibe that is tranquility of good times with the best grandpa I could ask for. The aurora in the sky is a representation of the bright light of a man that I can never show how appreciative I am for the experiences he gave me.
